Derek, the son of a cabinet maker and teacher, is a natural handyman and entrepreneur, putting life to the creativity of our artisans.
Anna grew up traveling the world, therefore, adjusting to life in various cultures is easy and natural for her. She attended an international boarding school where she developed her love for art. Her creative mind and global thinking radiate into the beauty and lively design of our TAHDA products.
In 2013 Derek was invited to travel the USA with an alpaca shearing crew. This opportunity introduced Derek to the US alpaca cottage industry. An industry once filled with get-rich-quick dreamers is now looking for opportunities to find its niche in an increasingly global market. Some of TAHDA's alpaca fiber is imported from that US supply.
In 2014 this family packed up their bags and moved to rural China. They continued their education by both becoming fluent in Chinese. As their family grew to five, their entrepreneurial dreams and adventure seeking hearts allowed them to birth TAHDA in 2017 -- bringing local traditions to the marketplace.
